Greenslopes House is an alteration and addition project that involves the restoration of an 1890s workers cottage and the reworking of a rambling 2000s era extension to the rear. The new work provides a string of new dining and sitting spaces by enclosing an under-utilised side verandah that formed part of the later extension. Access to light and ventilation is carefully balanced with privacy from neighbours on this narrow inner-city lot, with walls of obscure glazing running the length of the enclosed verandah, and operable windows positioned to avoid overlooking.
